SAT JUNE 4 / 10AM-12PM AT FUMC WESTFIELD
Family Promise in partnership with Imagine, a Center for Coping with Loss will offer an in-person workshop called “Grief: A Social Justice Issue” this Saturday, June 4, 10am to 12pm at First United Methodist Westfield.
The Loss, Grief and Social Justice workshop will identify how racism, grief and social justice are interconnected. Together we will explore the collective grief of Black Americans whose cumulative losses may include deaths, loss of housing, illness and incarceration as well as the loss of hope and safety.
Those who attend will learn about social justice and its connection to grief, be able to identify the different types of grief and loss that pertain to social justice and explore the intersectionality of grief and racism. Join us as we build communities of healing. You can register through the button below.
Please join us this Saturday, June 4, 10am to 12pm at First United Methodist Church, 1 E. Broad St., Westfield, NJ 07090.
